You see the artwork and approve it before the painting stage begins, and again once the painting is finished. If the likeness is not right, we work on it. Across 30,000 paintings, nobody has ever been handed a portrait they had not already seen and said yes to.

Is this really not AI?

Correct. Every painting is drawn from a blank canvas and painted by hand. Five hours of drawing per face before any painting starts, and you approve the artwork before we proceed — that alone is impossible to fake with a generator.

What if the face does not look like them?

You review the artwork before the painting stage and again after it is finished. If the likeness is not right, we work on it with you before anything ships.

Do I pay anything today?

No. This page prices your painting so you are not guessing, and books a free consult. Payment only happens after you have spoken to a consultant and decided.

What is a "pax"?

One pax is one subject in the painting — a person, a pet, a car, a house. Three people plus a dog is 4 pax.

My photo is old and blurry. Can you still do it?

Very often yes — a large share of our work is from old, damaged or single surviving photos. Bring it to the consult and we will tell you honestly what we can do.

Can I get it faster than the guaranteed date?

Often, yes, through the free priority line — it depends on the studio queue when you confirm. We will tell you on the consult, and it costs nothing extra.

One honest warning. Our award-winning artists are limited by real human hours — there are only so many of them, and the studio queue is first come, first served. If your date is tied to a birthday, an anniversary or a memorial, speak to us now and lock it in. We would rather tell you today that it is tight than apologise later.

P.S. You have now seen the package. That already puts you ahead of most people, who find out only after they have paid a deposit somewhere else.

P.P.S. The consult costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Worst case, you spend ten minutes and walk away knowing exactly what a real hand-painted portrait costs and how long it takes. Best case, someone you love opens the one gift they will never put in a drawer.
